When contemplating a new piece,
I am driven by the image, be
it a plein air vista or one of my photographs. I
am far more concerned with subject and the
expression of my view of it
than any other factor, such as medium, composition, or color
combination. That being said, I believe
that I have an
inherently strong sense of design and a near obsession with color. The resulting works reflect all of these
sensibilities.
I’m a life-time North
Carolinian, having been raised in High
Point, raised my family in Winston-Salem, and recenly moving to a
Charlotte bungalow in historic Dilworth. I
have a BA in Studio Art from Hollins
College, Roanoke, Virginia.
Painting and all art experiences
are pivotal to me and make
me very happy, especially when the end result works well.
